European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for Displaced Workers (EGF)
Τhe European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for Displaced Workers (EGF) supports socio-economic transformations resulting from globalisation and technological and environmental changes by helping displaced workers and the self-employed, whose activity has ceased, to adapt to structural changes.
The EGF is an emergency fund and contributes to strengthening social and economic cohesion between regions and Member States. It supports beneficiaries with a view to reintegrating them into decent and sustainable employment as soon as possible.
The rules governing the intervention criteria, eligible beneficiaries and eligible measures of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for Displaced Workers (EGF) for the period of validity of the MFF 2021 – 2027 are laid down in Regulation (EU) 2021/691 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 April 2021 on the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for Displaced Workers (EGF) and repealing Regulation (EU) No 1309/2013.
